Coupon-addict & I love it

This is what I love about couponing. Getting a STEAL of a deal and stocking the closet for a few months!

Yesterday, from shopping at CVS, Family Dollar and Walmart, I bought $57.43 worth of products for $14.03 (including the value of the CVS Extra Care Bucks). That equals out to $0.64 per item for the 22 total items I purchased!

The totals include sales, coupons and extra care bucks from CVS. In all, it was $33.27 in manufacturer's coupons and CVS coupons.

The breakdown of what I purchased...items are listed, followed by price and coupons used.

Walmart
  • 8 Suave 18.0 ounce Body Washes
    • $1.88 each, $15.04 total (BOGO, paid $7.52)
Family Dollar
  • 4 Ivory 3-pack Bar Soap
    • Regularly $1.50 each, on sale for $1.00, total value $6.00, $4.00 total ($1.00/2, paid $2.00)
  • 3 Schick 3-pack Razors
    • Regularly $4.85 each, on sale for $4.50, total value $14.55, $13.50 total ($4.00/1, paid $1.50)
CVS - $4 off $20 spent
  • 2 Pantene Shampoos
    • On sale 2/$8.00, $8.00 total ($2.00/1, paid $6.00 - earned $2.00 ECB)
  • 2 Loreal Advanced Shampoos
    • Regular $4.99 each, on sale 2/$9.00, total value $9.98, $9.00 total ($2.00/1, paid $5.00 - earned $4.00 ECB)
  • 1 Softsoap hand soap
    • $1.88 total ($1.00/1 CVS coupon, paid $0.88)
  • 2 Wet & Wild Cosmetics
    • $0.99 each, $1.98 ($0.25/1 Nail item, $0.50/1 Wet & Wild item, paid $1.23)

Needless to say, we are stocked on shampoo (as if we didn't have enough already for a small army), and soap! I love a good deal, and one like this doesn't happen all that often, but bulk buying and smart shopping can save you a pretty penny!

The best sites to use are Krazy Coupon Lady as she will give you the complete breakdown on what to buy from where with your coupons, and the group on Facebook, Red Hot Coupons.

Now, the circulars for this week are out and I'm ready to go put those ECB to use at CVS! I'll post again with results from tomorrow's trip!
